Nellie Manson of Quarff views Howard

Dennis

Llamas are generally more interesting to keep than sheep are. Here are Buddy and Dennis (after Dennis Healy - because of the eyebrows) from Brit Valley Llamas in Dorset. Llamas also tend to be rather brighter than the average sheep. Howard in close-up Howard the sheep has learned how to get into the Manson household. This wasn't so bad when he was a lambkin but now he weighs in at 40Kg and the couch is starting to disintegrate.
Linda Glanville with pet sheep, "Lamb", Tingwall, Shetland You can tell by the hairstyle that this photograph was taken in the eighties. Since then there have been great advances in hand-clipping tools and sheep coiffure is much more straight forward.

The Oaf (top right) was a peculiarly savage sheep who was prone to attacking anyone who came too close. Sometimes there was a genuine accident (hence the nickname) but sometimes she would deliberately corner her pray and knock it out. All Shetland sheep have something of a mean streak, and thelocal hospital has the highest number of sheep related emergency admissions anywhere in the world.
